I grill almost everyday in summer and quite a bit even in the winter.So I tend to be a bit hard on my grills and I had never really spent much on my grills and I replace every 2-4 years.This time around though, I fell in love with some of the newer stainless steel grills out there and on some of them it appears that you get more than from Weber: more grilling space, or more BTUs, or just bigger.So I decided to go digging a bit.
I checked consumer reports and this Weber grill is rated the #1 grill out there for the following reasons:
a) very even heating
b) quick heating
c) very solid construction
d) low propensity for flareups
Consumer reports brought out some of the more glaring shortfalls to other grills that were not easily apparent then blinded by all that stainless steel at the local warehouse store.Armed with some consumer reports data I went back to the local stores that have these grills and I started to see what they were saying: plastic where Weber was aluminium, solid doors vs thin with empty backing, open cabinets where Weber has fully enclosed cabinet, cast steel casing where Weber's is Aluminium.Try as I might, I couldn't find the exact model I wanted so after much deliberation I bought the Webber Genesis S-310 from Amazon.I always order from Amazon but I was a bit hesitant to order due to a review of someone getting a dented grill.But since I really wanted the S-310 and I trust Amazon, I went ahead and ordered and everything arrived perfect (Thank you Amazon and Eagle - whoever you are).
The Bad:
1) It arrived in a box factory disassembled into a bunch of parts
The Good:
1) It was very well packaged in the box (additionally, most stainless parts had a plastic film to keep from scratching)
2) It shipped and arrived very quickly (within 3 days of ordering - standard shipping)
3) No dings or scratches on the grill or even on the box (Eagle did a great job on this one)
4) The fact that the grill was disassembled - which allowed me to get to know the grill as I assembled it and raelly appreciate the construction
5) Instructions were clear
6) I have to say that in putting this grill together took about one hour of work and it really had me appreciate the strength of Weber's construction on this product.Its frankly amazing how well constructed this grill is.
7) Construction of this grill is made of stainless steel and cast aluminium with plastic only in the wheels (which are very tough), hose, knobs and a couple of small fittings.
8) The undercarriage is enclosed on all four sides with gorgeous stainless doors which are thick and fully whose back is also stainless.
9)Many details were taken into account, there are adjustments so that the knobs are fully centered.
10) There's a chain to hold a lighting match and the lighting hole is neatly placed on the front right corner of the grill although the grill has electronic ignition.
11) The temperature guage was placed in the front center of the grill and is large and easy to see.
12) The knobs are located on top of the grill which is fantastic if you have small children.It makes it much harder for children to reach the knobs and turn them
13) It doesn't come with a tank (I have 3 so that wasn't a problem)
14) Comes with a drip pan
15) It doesn't have brickettes but comes with very highly angled triangular baffles to cover the burners...the angle of the baffles lessens the likelihood of flareups because grease falls down before it catches on fire
16) Very good warranty on all materials and workmanship
17) It has a tank measure so you know when you're low on propane
18) This grill gets hot.I turned it on high and turned around for a few minutes and it was up to 650 degrees and the flavorizer bars were glowing bright red hot....wow -- never had a grill do that before!
19) Very even heating. The burners run left to right on this grill vs front to back.Always in the past, I've had a problem with the back of my grill being hotter than the front.With this grill the heating is more even.There are pros and cons of left to right arrangement of burners vs front to back and probably beyond this review just be aware potential buyer --- left to right works very well for me and I find I can do indirect cooking nicely too.
Grilling with this product is fantastic.This is the best grill I have ever owned and I'm glad I own a Weber Genesis S-310.You might find cheaper grills or bigger grills for the same money or higher BTUs but overall, I think you'll be hard pressed to find a "better grill" out there.
I was apprehensive at ordering such a large product from Amazon but amazed at how fast I got it and the store perfect condition it arrived in.One very happy Weber Owner and Amazon shopper.

I received a grill for xmas, this reminded me of the gift I wanted so badly! It is so cute, it opens and closes, great quality.
The surface is truly non-stick and that is impressive considering I use it on the grill. It is very nice to cook something like onions or shrimp on the grill and not have them fall thru the grates.The removable handle is great as I have a small grill and could not cover a pan with a handle.I highly recommend this.
It didn't close quite right. With a little bit of bending and forcing of it, it got a bit better. The handle was also a bit loose. Cheap, but also cheaply made.
I had to cancel my order when Amazon kept pushing my delivery date back. I still bought the genesis gold B from my local hardware store.It cooks great and has all the features I was looking for. It heats up and is ready to cook in a couple of minutes. 
This is the Ferrari of Grills! everything you need, smoker, rotisserie, searing station, side stove burner and 6 grill burners. It's just the best, I have been using it for over a month now, and I can say it the best grill I have ever owned and will ever own. 
This is one solid grill.The panels, grates, double walled cabinet doors, side shelves all are robust in materials and design. The assembly was minimal, I had it together in 15 minutes.At first I thought the handle lamps and lighted panel were gimmick, but actually are very functional. At 70K BTU, this grill packs a mean punch. It zoomed up to 700'F in less than 10min, so cleaning this afterwards is a breeze. My first use were two 2lb chickens on the rotisserie; the S-670 performed gallantly. If I were to pick a weak spot, it would be the caster wheels; they are a bit on the light-duty side especially when compared with the rest of the grill. I suggest registering warranty by phone, the customer service rep will share with you use and care instructions not as obvious in the manual.
Appeared to be a solid grill topper upon arrival. Outset even has a nice website describing their products (unlike many other brands). Outset even advertised their other products with the same copper coating with good reviews from some food magazine. Upon first use, I was very surprised to see it warped under moderate heat (350F). After it cooled down, it bent back in shape.It was fairly easy to clean after 1st use. Then with 2nd grilling, the food started to stick terribly. I was unable to clean the charcoal mess left on the grill topper. I even left it soaked in soapy water overnight, and was still unable to clean it easily afterwards. I tried to use regular soft dish washing scrubber to clean off the charcoal mess, then discovered some of the nonstick copper-tone "double coat" silicone coating came off! I trashed this piece of junk, as I don't want my family risk eating this non-stick silicone stuff! One of the worst purchases ever! I plan to get a plain stainless steel grill topper next time. It may not be easy to clean, but I can at least use some heavy duty scrubber on it and not worry about any type of nonstick coating coming off...
This basket-style Rotisserie is wonderful - it handles most meats far easier than a spit.You can do whole chickens, split chickens, game hens, flat ribs, and very small roasts.You do not have to worry about balance and counter weights.You can fit the disassembled basket into the dishwasher.I love it.
This cover fit perfectly over our new Weber 22.5 in. Gold grill and work table.The fabric is think and repels water.A must have if buying the work table!

The quality of the materials and construction of this cover is pretty good, and it will do an okay job of protecting the grill. However, with a few modifications, this cover could have been significantly better.
I have used a Weber One Touch Gold for many years, but the truth of the matter is that in Northern Michigan winter, it is frequently more than I care to attempt to try to get the fire going. Nomatter whether I use the chimney or parrafin starters, that cold wind does not get me enthused to charcoal grill in January.
the small screw on tanks work very well. But when using the adapter hose on a 20 lB tank the flame is too weak to grill, especially when the outside temp is in the 40s or lower.
This cover is pretty self-explainitory.It fits my grill perfectly and keeps the weather off it.It is made of a gray durable plastic.Where I live in South Carolina, this cover is perfect for me because it snows maybe once a year here and just rains a bit besides.If you live in a climate with harsher winters, like Colorado, Michigan, or upstate New York, i would recommend getting the Weber Premium Grill Cover Instead.It will probably hold up to the harsher climate a little better.
The Weber 7402 Charcoal Rails work as advertized.They are easy to install and remove yet fit firm and do not come out unintended.Simply engineered by the same people that make the charcoal grate so it fits perfectly.There are no installation instructions or diagram so for those that are dense as I was for about 5 minutes you hook the outer most cross rail and wedge the end opposite the hooks between the grates.This is for an 18 ½ inch grill so the 22 ½ inch may not be the same.As far as the practicality of the use on an 18 ½ inch grill the best you can do is one medium sized rack of ribs or a very well trimmed brisket.Flank steak and skirt steak fit perfect.Whole fish one medium fits fine as well.
While I love my Genesis S-320, I decided I wanted to get in to charcoal grilling when time allows. Without question, I was going to buy a Weber, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with the One-Touch Gold, One-Touch Platinum (knowing I'd still buy accessories for both) or the Performer. 
I have had 5 or so BBQ's in the last 26 yrs. The cheap ones like Charm Glow only lasted a year or so. About 10 years ago I got a Weber Sprit BBQ and it last until this year. I was able to rebuild the flavor bars and grill twice in that 10 year period. Weber is great in that you can get parts for old BBQ's. However, I live near the beach and BBQ a lot. The Sprit had an aluminum box and porclin coated iron parts for the grill and flavor bars. These parts rusted out and /or corroded. So this time I wanted a BBQ that was ALL stainless. In looking arround I found several makes that claimed to be stainless but had many nonstainless parts. The Weber Gennesis was expensive but is ALL stainless. Assemby was fairly easy but the diagrams (no writen instructions)take some studing at each step. Total time to assemble was 2.5 hr. This grill is well made and does a terrific job of BBQing. It is not cheap but I belive it is worth the money in the long run. The S310 is a little big for my use and I would have liked a two burner Sprit sized BBQ but they do not make that size in stainless.
I was going to buy this exact same grill from Home Depot online, until they infomed me that shipping was going to run me $75.00! Amazon shipped it for free! I wanted to post a rant on HD's website warning everyone that they are paying high shipping costs unnecessarily, but their guidelines don't allow mention of any competitors.
This product came un-assembled. It was boxed extremely well with no missing parts and good instruction. As with my previous Weber BBQ that I used for 15 years this is a high quality product.
