I received a grill for xmas, this reminded me of the gift I wanted so badly! It is so cute, it opens and closes, great quality.
For all of you looking for "Weber" brand parts, Don't look here.. They are cheaper quality, and the vendor leads you to belive they are Weber 7538 bars. I am in the process of returning mine now.
In just a couple of weeks of normal use, the heat from the grill plus washing it in the sink caused the finish to come off of the lower one third of the handle.It looks crappy but works fine still.Given the nice weight and balance and the very long handle, I would otherwise have given this item five stars.
the porcelain bars that came with the unit are first to corrode and disintegrate. I'm willing to give stainless steel a try at this price.they are pretty thin metal though and imagine they will have a finite life as well.In just a couple weeks they are blackened and not shiny anymore.If they hold up for a couple of years that would be great.There is a thicker version, but I am not sure it is worth the extra bucks.I can see the importance of these as they protect the burner holes from getting mucked up.Before I put these in I wire brushed the burner tube to make sure all of the openings were clear.
I have owned my Weber Summit Gold A6 Natural Gas model since last November, and I could not be happier with it.A little about me first.I am a former chef, having trained in France and worked in some of the finest steak houses in Southern California for several years.Although I now work in a different job, my wife is a personal chef, and I often help her with jobs, usually cooking on the Weber.
I had to cancel my order when Amazon kept pushing my delivery date back. I still bought the genesis gold B from my local hardware store.It cooks great and has all the features I was looking for. It heats up and is ready to cook in a couple of minutes.
I just purchased these for my Weber grill.They are not Weber branded but work just fine.Seem very durable and fit perfectly.
I bought this after seeing it in a store.It's a much better design than the regular chimney starters I usually see.

I am very happy with this grill.I've had other Webers and this is by far the best.It has a large cooking surface for feeding large family get-togethers.I can get it extremely hot for searing steaks just right.But it also does what all my other gas gills couldn't do- it lets you cook low and slow at about 200 degrees!When I first got the grill I seasoned a whole chicken and put it on all day, using just the small burner on the smoker box- virtually forgot about it for hours.Later that evening it was tender and juicy.
Agonized over whether or not an expensive grill was worth the money.I call it expensive since you can get the same size for nearly half the price at a retail chain.I'm not agonizing anymore.I have used it for three weeks now and the kitchen oven is getting jealous.We cook everything on this grill.Today, we finally used the rotisserie for a whole chicken and it was the best we've had. Fish, steaks, chicken and pork all grilled to perfection - and fast!
This product is exactly what I would expect from Weber.The fit quality was perfect.You are sure to get what you pay for from Weber, no more, no less.This is a $50 cover.The material is of good quality and should hold up to most moderate weather conditions.I do not expect this cover to outlast my Weber Summit S-650.I'm ok spending another $50 for a cover 5 years from now to protect my investment.Other options include purchasing a cheap <$20 cover which is nothing more than a fitted tarp, or a Custom fitted marine grade cover for >$200.The Weber cover is a happy medium that should last many years.
I got lucky on my purchase of the 2005 Genesis Gold B. Apparently the store I purchased it at put Genesis Silver B barcodes on the Gold B boxes, so I ended up getting charged 499 instead of 599. The grill is worth every penny so far. It's a miser when it comes to gas, and it heats up to 550 degrees in about 5-10 minutes! That's amazingly fast. New to the 2005 models are the doors, and it's apparent, because they're my only complaint about the design of the unit. They just don't open and close perfectly. Also be warned that Weber Grills in 2005 no longer ship with a propane tank. You must have one or buy one seperately. I wish the burners were further apart for indirect cooking of large pieces of meat. I had a large rack of ribs, and the edges got charred while I had the middle burner turned off. Next time I'll use foil. Chalk that mistake up to not knowing better.
I purchased this grill for my wife as a birthday present. Grill was bought from Amazon, not one of their associates. I was most worried about shipping but was pleasantly surprised. Shipping in my area was from CEVA. I was contacted to set up a date for delivery. When the grill arrived it was mounted on a plastic pallet. The driver with a handcart rolled it into my garage. Unpacking took awhile due to all the packing. I would have given this 5 stars but one of the doors had a slight dent in the chrome trim. I contacted Weber and they sent a complete door overnight as a replacement.
If you're thinking about taking the leap from gas back to charcoal but are concerned with the time and effort to fire it up, you should consider the Performer. With onboard charcoal storage (consider gloves for removing the charcoal from the storage bin) combined with the gas lighting feature, there is very little additional time from lifting the lid to searing your steaks. Throw in a few pre soaked hickory chips and it all comes back - that wonderful smokey aroma that only a charcoal grill can provide. With this design, even disposal of the ash is a breeze, the container at the bottom simply twists off, the ash can be dumped and you're back in business. I received this grill for my 60th birthday and have been very pleased.
This is one solid grill.The panels, grates, double walled cabinet doors, side shelves all are robust in materials and design. The assembly was minimal, I had it together in 15 minutes.At first I thought the handle lamps and lighted panel were gimmick, but actually are very functional. At 70K BTU, this grill packs a mean punch. It zoomed up to 700'F in less than 10min, so cleaning this afterwards is a breeze. My first use were two 2lb chickens on the rotisserie; the S-670 performed gallantly. If I were to pick a weak spot, it would be the caster wheels; they are a bit on the light-duty side especially when compared with the rest of the grill. I suggest registering warranty by phone, the customer service rep will share with you use and care instructions not as obvious in the manual.
Appeared to be a solid grill topper upon arrival. Outset even has a nice website describing their products (unlike many other brands). Outset even advertised their other products with the same copper coating with good reviews from some food magazine. Upon first use, I was very surprised to see it warped under moderate heat (350F). After it cooled down, it bent back in shape.It was fairly easy to clean after 1st use. Then with 2nd grilling, the food started to stick terribly. I was unable to clean the charcoal mess left on the grill topper. I even left it soaked in soapy water overnight, and was still unable to clean it easily afterwards. I tried to use regular soft dish washing scrubber to clean off the charcoal mess, then discovered some of the nonstick copper-tone "double coat" silicone coating came off! I trashed this piece of junk, as I don't want my family risk eating this non-stick silicone stuff! One of the worst purchases ever! I plan to get a plain stainless steel grill topper next time. It may not be easy to clean, but I can at least use some heavy duty scrubber on it and not worry about any type of nonstick coating coming off...
I bought this grill from Amazon and in short everything worked right out of the box.I bought the grill so that I could sear steaks, grill for a party and cook BBQ low and slow all in one grill.I have had nothing but success, great grill marks and I am able to maintain a 230-250 degree temperature for BBQ (with smoker box for great flavor).The six burners plus the smoker burner and wide cooking surface allow me to tailor the temperature perfectly.The setup instructions were clear and I was able to assemle it myself.I am very pleased with my purchase of the Summit Gold D6 and knowing Weber will be around for as long as I will own this grill as also very reassuring.
I am so happy to see that replacement flavorizer bars are available for my Weber Go Anywhere Gas Grill.For convenience, I keep my grill handy to the kitchen on our covered deck, but it is not totally protected from the elements.Over time, the bars (and the grate) are showing signs of wear and erosion, but still do a great job of cooking flavorful meats and chicken.My local hardware store gave me an estimate for the replacements parts that totaled within one dollar of the price of a brand new grill!Thank you, Amazon.com, for yet another bargain!
