Weber 9935 Premium Cover Review

Weber 9935 Premium CoverI recently bought a Weber Spirit E-310 gas grill from a local ACE hardware store. I bought this cover to protect my investment. Amazon had the best price and they shipped it quickly. The cover fits perfectly over my grill. It's made of sturdy materials and has several thoughtful design features, such as webbed vents near the top front and back to prevent moisture buildup underneath and velcro tabs on the lower left and right to tighten up the cover if you're worried about the wind blowing it off. I highly recommend this cover. PS. The grill itself is also outstanding and leaves my old Weber charcoal grill in the (bricket) dust. Get one.

Weber Summit S670 74" Freestanding Gas Grill with 769 sq. in. Cooking Area, 6 Stainless Steel Burners, Tuck-Away Infrared Rotisserie, Sear/Smoker/Side Burners, Stainless Steel Cooking Grates/Flavorizer Bars and Lighted Control Knobs Review

Weber Summit S670 74' Freestanding Gas Grill with 769 sq. in. Cooking Area, 6 Stainless Steel Burners, Tuck-Away Infrared Rotisserie, Sear/Smoker/Side Burners, Stainless Steel Cooking Grates/Flavorizer Bars and Lighted Control KnobsI am very happy with this grill.I've had other Webers and this is by far the best.It has a large cooking surface for feeding large family get-togethers.I can get it extremely hot for searing steaks just right. But it also does what all my other gas gills couldn't do- it lets you cook low and slow at about 200 degrees! When I first got the grill I seasoned a whole chicken and put it on all day, using just the small burner on the smoker box- virtually forgot about it for hours.Later that evening it was tender and juicy.

Only problem is that when it rains, water collects in the drip pans and overflows making a huge mess.Seems like Weber could throw in a $43 cover when you pay $2,000 for a grill- or at least warn you that it is REQUIRED- not optional equipment.

Weber 1781001 Summit E-650 Grill, Propane, BlackAgonized over whether or not an expensive grill was worth the money.I call it expensive since you can get the same size for nearly half the price at a retail chain.I'm not agonizing anymore.I have used it for three weeks now and the kitchen oven is getting jealous. We cook everything on this grill.Today, we finally used the rotisserie for a whole chicken and it was the best we've had. Fish, steaks, chicken and pork all grilled to perfection - and fast!

Weber 2880001 Summit S-670 Grill, Natural Gas, Stainless Steel Review

Weber 2880001 Summit S-670 Grill, Natural Gas, Stainless SteelThis is the Ferrari of Grills! everything you need, smoker, rotisserie, searing station, side stove burner and 6 grill burners. It's just the best, I have been using it for over a month now, and I can say it the best grill I have ever owned and will ever own.

Price: Its expensive but you get what you pay for, all stainless steel and cast iron, really well built and has been put together the right way.

Unpacking: It comes in a big box, and you need two or even three people to get it off the skid that is comes on.

Assembly: Very easy, if you know how to turn and screw and read directions, very very easy

Wife's note: If you give this to your husband for fathers day he'll love you for it! I bought it for my self, but my wife wishes she gave it to me for fathers day.

Weber 6740001 Genesis Gold B Propane, Stainless Steel Review

Weber 6740001 Genesis Gold B Propane, Stainless SteelI got lucky on my purchase of the 2005 Genesis Gold B. Apparently the store I purchased it at put Genesis Silver B barcodes on the Gold B boxes, so I ended up getting charged 499 instead of 599. The grill is worth every penny so far. It's a miser when it comes to gas, and it heats up to 550 degrees in about 5-10 minutes! That's amazingly fast. New to the 2005 models are the doors, and it's apparent, because they're my only complaint about the design of the unit. They just don't open and close perfectly. Also be warned that Weber Grills in 2005 no longer ship with a propane tank. You must have one or buy one seperately. I wish the burners were further apart for indirect cooking of large pieces of meat. I had a large rack of ribs, and the edges got charred while I had the middle burner turned off. Next time I'll use foil. Chalk that mistake up to not knowing better.

Make sure you have someone around when you're putting this grill together. Step 3 requires you to put the top onto the legs, and this requires 2 people. Other than that, I was able to quickly put everything together and was grilling within an hour of starting the project. I really wish Weber would start using words in their instructions rather than just try to convey all the instructions with pictures. But like I said, I was able to easily get everything put together. I also bought the appropriate grill cover from Amazon and it fits like a glove. Great investment.

I owned a Weber Baby Q while living in an apartment, and loved it to death. It's now relegated to beach trip duty while my new Genesis Gold B is the workhorse of the house. Good job Weber!

Product Description:
When we launched the Genesis gas grill line back in 1985, we launched more than a new line of grills- we launched a grilling revolution. The Genesis line changed the way gas grills work with a new and innovative cooking system that stopped flare-ups and created even heat without messy lava rocks. Our system was so good, it wasn't long before other brands tried to replicate it.Close, but no cigar.Weber's cooking system is still the best on the market, and here's why:Burneres made of high-grade stainless steel run the length of the cookbox, providing even heat accross the grill.--Flavorizer bars completely cover the burners, no holes or cutouts. They are precisely angled to generate heat and facilitate run off of juices that aren't vaporized. --A drip system for directing grease away from the burners.Drippings are channeled into a funnel shaped bottom tray under the burners and collect in a large drip pan. Both the funnel-shaped tray and the drip pan are easy to remove from the front of the grill.--At least two or more individually controlled burners for cooking direct or indirect.Burners have infinite control valves so you can fine tune the temperature.Genesis Gold gas grills include two model types--B and C. Gold B models have three burners, and Gold C models have three burners and a12,000 BTU-per-hour input side burner. Both models feature a fully enclosed cart with stainless steel doors and handles, stainless steel cooking grates, stainless steel flavorizer bars, granite-style thermoset work surfaces, Crossover ignition system, solid robot-welded carts, built in thermometer, and a double-walled construction stainless steel hood that adds a layer of insulation to trap heat and protect the stainless steel hood from discoloring. All natural gas models include a 12 ft. flexible hose. All models also feature a limited lifetime warranty.

Weber 1752001 Summit E-620 Propane Gas Grill, Copper Review

Weber 1752001 Summit E-620 Propane Gas Grill, CopperI purchased this grill for my wife as a birthday present. Grill was bought from Amazon, not one of their associates. I was most worried about shipping but was pleasantly surprised. Shipping in my area was from CEVA. I was contacted to set up a date for delivery. When the grill arrived it was mounted on a plastic pallet. The driver with a handcart rolled it into my garage. Unpacking took awhile due to all the packing. I would have given this 5 stars but one of the doors had a slight dent in the chrome trim. I contacted Weber and they sent a complete door overnight as a replacement.

Weber 1840301 Summit S-450 Natural Gas Tuck-Away Rotisserie Grill Review

Weber 1840301 Summit S-450 Natural Gas Tuck-Away Rotisserie GrillI have owned this grill for just over a year, and use it at least once a week, more in the summer, and I even use it the winter (I live in Avon, OH, so I have grilled in temps as low as the mid-teens).A few good points:It lights all the time every time on one or two clicks of the auto-ignitor.This is really great and saves a lot of hassle dealing with matches.Natural gas is wonderful, as no more propane tanks to deal with. The finish is top notch (but for this price I wish the back was also stainless steel). The smoker box is really a nice feature (I usually use hickory soaked in water and get a good 15 minutes of hickory smoke from a filled smoker box). The rotisserie works well when using the rear infrared burner (I have used it for large beef roasts and chickens). One of the best features are the thick stainless steel grates - no rust and they clean up perfectly every time and provide great consistent grill marks! The grease trap works flawlessly, and I feel very healthy when I empty out all the grease that collects in the trap! Also, since the unit is completely sealed, there is not greasy grill mess or particles that collect on the patio around the grill - it is very neat and tidy to cook on.

A few nits:The side burner runs too hot, in general. It is a poor quality burner and will burn and boil sauces too quickly, even on the lowest setting. It works, just not as good as one would expect at this price point. The main burners, in my opinion, could be a bit hotter, but only for the searing function when cooking steaks. It gets plenty hot, trust me, but it does not quite produce the level of searing on steaks as I would like, but it is very close. If searing is really important it might be best to get the model with the infrared searing burner. Also, the NG hose could be a few feet longer, at least for my application.

My cooking experience is very positive with this grill.I always had cheap grills and was always frustrated with the lack of temperature control. With this grill I get very precise temperature control all the time.I must say that in general I have never burned anything and things like chicken breast come out nice and juicy.Cooking results are very consistent, and I tend to cook very precisely based on time and temperature. For consistency I always let foods sit out for a few minutes so they are not too cold directly from the refrigerator - this is very important.I find I get best results by lighting all the burners and keep them all on low, as this sets a good baseline temperature, and then adjusting individual burners as needed. For example, a 1" thick steak is cooked to my liking by searing/cooking on high for 5 minutes on each side, then turning down to low and cooking for 3 more minutes on each side.I can pretty much predict the outcome by using trial and error to figure out what works for my desired cooking results.I also have cooked delicate pork tenderloin roasts with the indirect heat method (lower burners either side with cool burner in the middle) and they come out great).I have cooked about 16 burgers at once for large crowds, and the temperature control is a real party-saver in situations like this that require lots of monitoring.I have not had a bad result (again, start out slow with modest amounts of food to calibrate how this grill works in terms of temperature, heating, searing, etc.).I thought I would use the rotisserie and the side burner more, so in hindsight I could probably have saved some jingle by forgoing these features.Overall, this grill rocks and it blows away any grill I have ever owned (and I have had my share of them over the years).

Weber-Stephen 1424001 22.5" Performer Charcoal Grill Review

Weber-Stephen 1424001 22.5' Performer Charcoal GrillIf you're thinking about taking the leap from gas back to charcoal but are concerned with the time and effort to fire it up, you should consider the Performer. With onboard charcoal storage (consider gloves for removing the charcoal from the storage bin) combined with the gas lighting feature, there is very little additional time from lifting the lid to searing your steaks. Throw in a few pre soaked hickory chips and it all comes back - that wonderful smokey aroma that only a charcoal grill can provide. With this design, even disposal of the ash is a breeze, the container at the bottom simply twists off, the ash can be dumped and you're back in business. I received this grill for my 60th birthday and have been very pleased.

Weber 2780001 Summit S-670 Grill, Propane, Stainless Steel Review

Weber 2780001 Summit S-670 Grill, Propane, Stainless SteelThis is one solid grill. The panels, grates, double walled cabinet doors, side shelves all are robust in materials and design. The assembly was minimal, I had it together in 15 minutes. At first I thought the handle lamps and lighted panel were gimmick, but actually are very functional. At 70K BTU, this grill packs a mean punch. It zoomed up to 700'F in less than 10min, so cleaning this afterwards is a breeze. My first use were two 2lb chickens on the rotisserie; the S-670 performed gallantly. If I were to pick a weak spot, it would be the caster wheels; they are a bit on the light-duty side especially when compared with the rest of the grill. I suggest registering warranty by phone, the customer service rep will share with you use and care instructions not as obvious in the manual.

Outset QN71 Copper Nonstick Large 17" x 11" Grill Grid with Handles Review

Outset QN71 Copper Nonstick Large 17' x 11' Grill Grid with HandlesAppeared to be a solid grill topper upon arrival. Outset even has a nice website describing their products (unlike many other brands). Outset even advertised their other products with the same copper coating with good reviews from some food magazine. Upon first use, I was very surprised to see it warped under moderate heat (350F). After it cooled down, it bent back in shape. It was fairly easy to clean after 1st use. Then with 2nd grilling, the food started to stick terribly. I was unable to clean the charcoal mess left on the grill topper. I even left it soaked in soapy water overnight, and was still unable to clean it easily afterwards. I tried to use regular soft dish washing scrubber to clean off the charcoal mess, then discovered some of the nonstick copper-tone "double coat" silicone coating came off! I trashed this piece of junk, as I don't want my family risk eating this non-stick silicone stuff! One of the worst purchases ever! I plan to get a plain stainless steel grill topper next time. It may not be easy to clean, but I can at least use some heavy duty scrubber on it and not worry about any type of nonstick coating coming off...

Weber 5790001 Summit Gold D6 Propane Gas Grill Review

Weber 5790001 Summit Gold D6 Propane Gas GrillI bought this grill from Amazon and in short everything worked right out of the box.I bought the grill so that I could sear steaks, grill for a party and cook BBQ low and slow all in one grill.I have had nothing but success, great grill marks and I am able to maintain a 230-250 degree temperature for BBQ (with smoker box for great flavor). The six burners plus the smoker burner and wide cooking surface allow me to tailor the temperature perfectly. The setup instructions were clear and I was able to assemle it myself.I am very pleased with my purchase of the Summit Gold D6 and knowing Weber will be around for as long as I will own this grill as also very reassuring.

Weber 9201 Replacement Flavorizer Bar for Gas Go-Anywhere Grill Review

Weber 9201 Replacement Flavorizer Bar for Gas Go-Anywhere GrillI am so happy to see that replacement flavorizer bars are available for my Weber Go Anywhere Gas Grill. For convenience, I keep my grill handy to the kitchen on our covered deck, but it is not totally protected from the elements.Over time, the bars (and the grate) are showing signs of wear and erosion, but still do a great job of cooking flavorful meats and chicken. My local hardware store gave me an estimate for the replacements parts that totaled within one dollar of the price of a brand new grill!Thank you, Amazon.com, for yet another bargain!

Weber 6811001 Genesis Silver A Natural Gas, Black Review

Weber 6811001 Genesis Silver A Natural Gas, BlackI've been searching for just the right grill for the small patio at my condo for several months. I was put off by the Weber's price, but finally decided to go for it when nothing else compared favorably.

So glad I did! It was easy to assemble (I'm a 52-year-old woman, and I put it together by myself) and is extremely well made. The grilling area is spacious, despite the overall size, and it gets very hot, very quickly.

It looks like, with proper care, it could last forever!

Both the funnel-shaped tray and the drip pan are easy to remove from the front of the grill.--At least two or more individually controlled burners for cooking direct or indirect.Burners have infinite control valves so you can fine tune the temperature.Genesis Silver gas grills include three model types---A, B, and C. A models have two burners, B models have three burners, and C models have three burners and a side burner. All models feature a fully enclosed cart with stainless steel doors and handles, granite-style thermoset work surfaces, Crossover ignition system, solid robot-welded carts, and a rust-resistant porcelain-enameled hood with built in thermometer. All natural gas models include a 12 ft. flexible hose. All models also feature a limited lifetime warranty.

Weber Summit S-620 LP Gas Grill - Stainless Steel Review

Weber Summit S-620 LP Gas Grill - Stainless SteelThree basic issues with the grill:
1: If you don't cover it when it rains the rainwater floods the grease trap and floats cooking grease all over the inside or onto your deck/patio. Why pay all the money for 301 Stainless and have to cover the grill?
2. The shelves on the left and right are concave so they collect rain water about 1/8 inch deep.
3. A mild direct wind into the front of the grill causes blow outs when you are only lighting two or three burners.
Bottom Line: $1700 for a poorly designed fancy looking unit. Don't purchase it!

Char-Broil 06401206 Grill-2-Go Advantage Portable Outdoor Gas Grill Review

Char-Broil 06401206 Grill-2-Go Advantage Portable Outdoor Gas GrillBefore I purchased this grill I was looking for the Char-Broil Fire & Ice Grill (the one with the cooler below); however they have discontinued it for some weird reason. So I researched this one for my tailgate and decided to give it a try.I normally use charcoal however it is such a mess and the smoke blows over into others tailgates which is a little rude.

PROS: Great portable grill; love the side tables; 16 oz propane tank lasted hours (which is very nice); cute little extras like a flag and extra propane tank holder, a holder for paper towels and a holder for the propane tank in use; LED lights are a nice touch; very light considering how large this grill is; has a Non-Stick Teflon coated griddle (good for breakfast items); has a grease collector under the grill; has an ignitior, very easy to setup and start cooking

CONS: You have to assemble this grill out of the box (takes about an hour) and this was disappointing;
MOST DISAPPOINTING FEATURE...you cannot just extend the legs of the base and start grilling, you must take the grill off, extend the legs and set the grill on top of the base, this again applies if you want to collapse the grill, you must take the grill off the base collapse the legs and place the grill back on top; does not have a propane gauge letting you know how much gas is left; make sure it is on a level surface, we tried to make scrambled eggs and they ran off the griddle down to the bottom of the grill

Overall if you can catch this grill on sale it is worth the money (purchased mine for around $160 on Amazon).I still believe a $200 grill should have some extra features like a propane gauge, and the grill should be able to setup without taking it on and off the base.

***PS:Thermos sells a carrying bag for the Grill 2 Go; however it does NOT fit this model. You can fit the grill but not the legs.Returned the carrying bag to Amazon and had my $40 refunded.***

Weber 9813 Gas Grill Flavorizer Bars Review

Weber 9813 Gas Grill Flavorizer BarsWhile I like the whole flavorizer concept, the porcelein enamel just wore out on me too quickly.I will say that they lasted about a year and a half before I finally had to change them, and that is a lot longer than somegrills have lasted me.I switched to the stainless steel, and I am a lothappier with them.

Weber 9891 Gas Barbecue Rotisserie Review

Weber 9891 Gas Barbecue RotisserieThis basket-style Rotisserie is wonderful - it handles most meats far easier than a spit. You can do whole chickens, split chickens, game hens, flat ribs, and very small roasts. You do not have to worry about balance and counter weights. You can fit the disassembled basket into the dishwasher.I love it.
Except....The basket is too small for a turkey or a large leg of lamb.A whole turkey would require a spit, and indeed, Weber sells one (the 9890).You would think Weber would package just the spit and clamps without the motor, so that a customer could own a system with two options - a basket and a spit. However, Weber does not package Rotisseries this way and will not sell the spit and attachments without the motor. (I asked, they refused.) You have to buy two motors if you want to use both a basket and a spit.
Weber would do well to take advantage of the great marketing opportunity afforded bypackaging a basket and a spit with one motor, instead of blocking customers from acquiring such a desirable combination.

Weber Q 120 Gas Grill Review

Weber Q 120 Gas GrillThis BBQ grill is quality. It's sturdy and feels like it's going to stick around for a while.

The Weber Q has several nice features: The trays fold up into the grill and have built-in utensil storage. The grate is designed so that grease will drip around, but never on, the burner underneath.

I've hosted two cookouts and I've received several compliments on my Weber Q. The food has always been tasty and you definitely get some good grill marks.

Clean-up is pretty straightforward. Out in the field, I usually give the cooking grate a good scrubbing with a brass brush to get the chunks off. Then after it has cooled, I remove the grate and wipe the inside surface with paper towels. All the crud gets brushed into the drip pan.

Some tips:
- If you use a regular 20 lb. liquid propane (LP) cylinder at home for other grills, then I recommend purchasing the tank adapter hose for the Weber Q. Propane tanks are much cheaper than propane bottles.
- This grill does not use the regular green propane bottles that you commonly associate with portable grills. Instead, it uses the slender blue propane bottles commonly used with torches.
- Follow the cleaning instructions: Don't use harsh cleaners such as oven cleaners. Don't use harsh scouring pads. And don't go overboard with the scraper. (I chipped a little of the coating off an edge of the grate while scraping.) For a thorough cleaning at home, use dishwashing detergent and a brush with plastic bristles and you'll be fine.

Weber Genesis Silver A Gas LP Grill - Black Review

Weber Genesis Silver A Gas LP Grill - BlackCharcoal grilling arguably produces better flavors, but propane has inarguable convenience. Some of the benefits of propane include push-button ignition, no lighter fluid, no coaxing the charcoal to burn evenly and no messy charcoal to clean up.If you've made the decision to go propane, the Weber Silver A is a good selection. It's a well-made and of sturdy construction. It requires some assembly, but no tools that aren't provided with grill. The manufacturer claims the grill can be assembled in less than 40 minutes and that's approximately how long it took me to assemble it.It is necessary to lift the heavy body of the grill and set it down upon the stand. The directions show two people performing this task.I was assembling the grill by myself and was able to do this by myself, but I would imagine it is wiser and safer to do it with two people. The Silver A is significantly smaller than many of the other grills on the market.I have limited space in my backyard, so the more compact design was an added plus. If considering the Silver A, you should probably look at the Silver B as well.Although a little more expensive, the Silver B offers 36,000 BTU's to the Silver A's more modest 26,000 BTU's.Although I'm happy with the performance of the Silver A, the Silver B is probably worth the investment if the grill is going to get heavy usage. There is a Silver C model as well, but this is a larger model that does not share the more compact design of its smaller siblings.I recommend the Silver A to anyone looking for a compact, but quality propane grill, but would urge the prospective purchaser to look at the more powerful yet compact Silver B model as well.

Weber 1880001 Summit S-650 Natural Gas Grill, Stainless Steel Review

Weber 1880001 Summit S-650 Natural Gas Grill, Stainless SteelAfter years of dutiful service, I was finally forced to retire my old Broilmaster. (BTW, my wife somewhat challenges the use of the word "forced")As a proud Weber kettle owner for many years (Both the Performer and a Weber 757001 22 1/2-Inch One-Touch Gold Charcoal Grill, Green), I have long had my sights on an all Weber fleet.I have cooked on Weber gas grills before. It was never a question of quality, but the overall look of the Summit line.Simply put, I hated the wheels. There was just something about that beautiful piece of stainless that appeared to be riding on the deck of a lawn mower.I toyed with getting a drop in, but decided against it.When the 2007 Summit line was previewed, I knew this was the year. The lawn mower wheels were gone.

Within an hour of the grill's arrival at my house, it was assembled. In fact, it probably would have gone faster if I had not stopped every few minutes to photograph my progress. This is a Weber, so I know that this is really a once in a twenty year event.I wanted to relive it.

The construction of the 650 is incredibly solid. The first thing you will notice is that the entire unit is welded together. On your next walk through Lowe's or The Home Depot, notice how many of the grills are simply bolted together.Because the 650 is basically built when it arrives, I unpacked it and assembled the burners, bars, grates, side table, side burner and grease catcher. It used a whopping total of 7 screws...none of them structural.

The instructions, in typical Weber fashion, were easy to follow.Upon moving the grill into position, I was surprised at how easy it moved.I really have no plans to drive it around the backyard when not in use, but it was nice to know that the low-profile wheels were there for more than show. The included ten foot gas line and quick disconnect valve were also a nice touch.Although these features might be more suited for the "stow and go" griller, I found them a nice touch.

With the specified six burners and 60,000 BTU's of heat, I was anxious for my maiden lighting. The knobs on the unit are nicely emblazoned with the Weber kettle symbol and were responsive to my touch. The automatic light system fired up on cue and quickly lit the burners.Although the ignition did take me a little bit of getting used to at first, I blame that on my novice experience with the grill.

In under 10 minutes, I was pumping out 750 degrees.Impressive.I had a bone-in Rib Eye ready to roll and was highly pleased with the results.I know that I will have some great grill moments this summer.

The 650 comes with the rotisserie, smoker box and a side burner.Although I typically smoke and use the rotisserie on the kettles, I know that I will experiment with those features here. The 650 also comes with the Weber 3062101 Grill Out Handle Light that mount on the lid's handle, but I have yet to install them.Although my Dad swears by his, I typically have enough illumination in my grilling area. That, and I just think they take away from the looks of the grill. To me, everything about the 650 screams quality. From the heavy deliberate movement of the lid to the beautiful lines of the grill body, I doubt there is little Weber could have done to improve this.Knowing that Weber is behind the grill is reason enough.I have had nothing put great experience with Weber customer service in the past and know that if I ever do have a problem, it will be taken care of.This summer, the 650 will set the stage for many amazing meals and will act as the backdrop for many more incredible nights.

Weber 9814 Gas Grill Flavorizer Bars Review

Weber 9814 Gas Grill Flavorizer BarsAfter a year and a half of heavy grilling (2-3x a week), the original flavorizers finally had had enough.I replaced them with the stainless steel, and after about 2 1/2 years, they are still standing up extremelywell. It is worth the extra 20 to 30 dollars for the stainless steel. They do the same job as the porcelein, but they seem to do it longer.
Bythe way, it may just be me, but they seem to burn more evenly.
